Sorry if this has been asked before, but when do they begin decorating the resort lobbies for Christmas? Thanks.

We were there the week before Thanksgiving last year. The gingerbread décor at BC and BW went up on the 16th. By the time we woke up on the 17th, YC had been fully decorated. I've heard the 17th is also the most likely day for the WL tree to be put in place.

This varies by resort. I CAN tell you that the WL tree goes up one week before Thanksgiving Day - though this too has varied by as much as +- 2 days.
This bodes really well for my visit next year. I was sad I might miss both the WL tree and GF gingerbread house but it seems I'll only miss the latter. We leave on the 22nd so I know there's a snowball chance in the Florida summer that I'll see the MK Christmas tree as that one only goes up after the parade taping but the resort decorations are awesome and those will make up for it.

I have been to WDW a few times when decorations for the holidays are up. It is amazing. Each resort has it's own main tree along with a multitude of decorations that fit with the resorts theme. If you have the time, visit the resorts, too. GF is particularly beautiful. Plus they have all of the gingerbread and chocolate displays that are stunning. The main lobby there is absolutely incredible. It will definitely make you say, "wow!!"

Each park also has really cool decorations. The castle is particularly beautiful with all of the lights.

Have fun!
