Resort Check-In Question---and another resort question too

Hi. I am traveling in about 25 days to WDW and staying at Poly. Check-in time isn't until 4pm for DVC. My flight is really early--arriving around 8:30 am at MCO and we plan to take DME. My first question is: Does the resort have a place to put my carry on items in a secure place since most likely my room will not be ready that early? Normally, I would not care as I don't usually carry on anything worth of value (usually just a kindle and cell phones) and take a small bag with us to the park until our room is ready. However this time, we are travelling with a Nintendo Switch console and a Switch Lite with 10 games (a total value of about $1000). I would like to leave them in a secure place at the resort if possible. If not, I guess I will take the items with me to the park in a backpack, but I have a feeling that bag check will take forever as they will have to open the cases and inspect all items in them. I once took my pin trading bag and that took awhile to get through security. The Lite is not a big deal to take as the case is small. However, we have a bigger case for the regular-sized Switch, which is 12"x 6" x 9.5" and will be cumbersome to carry around in a backpack.

The next question, I have to print out my boarding passes for the return flight or I will be charged $15 by the airline during check-in and the airline does not make the boarding pass available on their app. From what I understand, there are business centers at Contemporary and the Grand Floridian that can be used to print out documents. Does everyone have access to this OR is there another way to get my boarding passes printed before leaving on DME for the airport? Thank you.

Bell Services can hold everything for you. The front desk will also have a safe for really important documents if you prefer.

And you can check in as soon as you arrive. Your room may be ready, although it’s unlikely since it would almost certainly have to have been empty the night before for it to be ready that early.

When we needed to print out boarding cards, the concierge desk at the Contemporary did it for us. I’m pretty sure the Poly will do it for you if you ask.

No
1. Bell Services.
2. Resort Airline Check In
(If your airline is not one that participates then there are generally computers in the main building to print boarding passes)

Thank you for your reply. I usually bypass check-in by checking in online and receive a text when the room is ready. Most times, I am notified of my room on DME on my way to the resort, but I don't usually have such an early flight. I guess I'll have to get my lei and go directly to the concierge and find out if they can store my stuff or just take it with me. While I am there, I can ask them about printing the boarding pass too. I plan to just go to MK and can easily come over later to drop my stuff off before my dinner reservation as we are attending after hours that night too.

They will be able to store your stuff for you. And no harm in asking if you haven’t already got a room ready text.

You can also have a boarding pass printed at Guest Services in most of the parks. And we've had the concierge at most resorts print them for us, as well. Just make sure you have everyone's reservations and your picture ID
