Resort change mid stay - how to coordinate it?

We will be staying at the Caribbean beach for the first 3 days of our stay then changing to saratoga springs for another 3 days. Our change over day will be Saturday. I understand that Disney will move our luggage from one resort to the next. Will they actually deliver it right to our room? Would we need to be there to accept the luggage. If we are not there how do we handle a tip for whomever is doing the luggage transfer. We are planning on being up and at Epcot on Saturday morning so we will have everything packed and ready to be moved. We just won't be there. i am just wondering how do i get the luggage transfer set up and is there anything else that i will need to consider with handling the resort change.

Bring your luggage to Bell Services at CBR (or call for assistance). Tell them you would like it moved to SSR. You can tip the CBR staff when you drop off your bags.

It can take several hours for your bags to be delivered to SSR. The bags will not be delivered to your room; you will either need to retrieve them yourself from Bell Services (and tip then) or call from your room and have it delivered to you then (and then you tip. )

We only travel with carryons- I would not necessarily want bell services to move them for me as they are smaller (backpacks etc) so does anyone know what it would cost for a cab from one resort to another? Epcot area to MK area.

Are you sending your luggage alone in a cab ?

Why not take it yourself using Disney transportation ? If your rooms not ready it can be stored for you. It'll take no more than an hour out of your day and save a load of $$$

Forget that. Use Bell Services. Just press the button on your phone in your first hotel and arrange a time for them to pick up your luggage. Be in the room and have everything ready for them at pickup. Give them your name and the resort of your next reservation. Your luggage will be delivered to your room in the new resort. Do your schedule for the day. Assuming you have already talked to guest services in the new resort and received a text of your new room number, your MB will work on your new room and you will find the luggage in your room.

I did just that extending my stay by one day moving from CSR to All Star Sports.

I think what we are planning on doing is dropping off the bags hanks for the info. Considering we are traveling with 3 children I want to take the least demanding route to transfer luggage. We are planning Epcot that day and will hopefully do the park in the morning and then I'll take off with the baby for a few hrs in the afternoon to get the room settled. I'm hoping to just have the luggage waiting for us in the room.

Does anyone know if I should call the night before to arrange bell services or early morning say around 6 or 7. We want to be at the park by 9:30.
