Resizing pictures for avatars

Any suggestions on how to resize pictures in able to use as an avatar?
I resized my current one, but I don't know how. I do know that it took me forever.

I am trying to resize some pictures by using Picture It! and Paint, but I never seem to get anywhere. Even when I resize them, it seems like it did no good on the size.

Thanks

In Paint, use Stretch/Skew from the menus, and adjust the % values so you end up with no larger than 160px x 110px

It's not an ideal tool, but it works (just) :)

(Or you could post the picture you wanted to use, and I'm sure somebody here would resize it for you :))

Thats how I do mine. Do one property at a time till you find the right size. Then SAVE it. I have a folder with all of my favorite avatars so I don't have to bother each time I change. ( :hammer: )
