As a vacationer I would defiantly consider doing this with my friends depending on what the spread looks like. Sparkling wine too? Sounds like fun to me.

I wouldn't recommend it. The current incarnation of WOC is not very good - so unless you've already seen it and know you love the show, $79 is a lot of money for a not great show, IMO.

Is there any word of updates, either going back to the original or just anything that's not Celebrate?

Sounds fun, but dayyum that's a lot of $$$! The Illuminations dessert, which sounds identical only it's culturally inspired and you're surrounded by (the far more scenic, IMO) World Showcase, is just $49 for adults and $29 for kids. Illuminations also has far more viewing areas and space isn't so limited, so I'm sure that weighs heavily into the price difference... but still. $79 for some cookies, wine, and reserved seats?

If the tables were actually cabs on the ferris wheel and you had your own spread of goodies/drinks inside, I'd definitely consider it!

If you are ok not having a table, you can grab a fastpass along with your own dessert (I'd suggest a Gold Rush from Ghirardelli) and wine for no more than $20 a person! :D DIY

I'm guessing that they set them up in a prime viewing spot specifically for customers signed up for the buffet.

There has been serious talk about it's future. It hasn't been a success and although I haven't heard anything recent - Celebrate will likely go to Yesterland as soon as the Diamond Celebration ends on Sept 6.

I am curious where the viewing area for this party will be. I highly doubt it will be a prime location down anywhere near the rails in the wet zone.

Maybe the bridge to Paradise Pier? If so, that would be a real shame to lose that to exclusive viewing.
