Research at The Land?

What research does The Land at Epcot actually do? I know they use hydroponics but have any results ever been published? During the scene before the greenhouse it talks about how they research using ladybugs and wasps to eliminate pests, yet I've never seen any.

Actually the DWF and I did a back stage tour of the land and we were able to release lady bugs and very small wasps into the land just for that purpose. They actually do some very good research. Sign up for a back stage tour of the land and you will see and learn all they do. It was the best money I ever spent and thouroughly enjoyed it. The cost is minimal so every one can afford it.

I've always wanted to take the "Behind the Seeds Tour" but never have. Last time I asked I believe it was seventeen dollars, but I was already going to spend some money on a new Bonsai tree that day from the vendor that comes during the Flower and Garden Festival. Guess I eventually need to check it out sometime.

I actually used to work in The Land's greenhouses. Tons of published research has gone on there in the past, especially in the fields of plant nutrition, pathology (disease control) and integrated pest management. There isn't as much any more, but it still happens. Most recently, there were some articles published as a result of The Land's work with aquaponics, the system put into the Creative greenhouse recently.
