I think Popkid has the Disney Resort TV loops on his server in the IRC channel. Check out his site http://www.popkid.com/disneycentral on connecting to IRC and obtaining them.
As far as Rescue Rangers.. those would be cool to capture. if you find any, let me know. Thanks.

Don't forget that the Rescue Rangers are still on TV....
record an episode from Toon Disney...then transfer the the tape through the camera to your computer...

I didn't realize they were still on.
Better yet.. I can rip them digitally off my satellite receiver's harddrive (PVR) and go directly to another digital format, so I won't loose resolution/quality if I went tv=>VHS=>PC.
Time to check the program guide and see when this comes on. Thanks for the heads-up! :sohappy:

It will take awhile to do the conversion (encoding). My machine is slow and also being a putz at the moment. I did tell my receiver to record the two episodes that were on this morning. My PC decided it has had enough after 2 years of crunching down video that now it is misbehaving. I did a full reformat/reinstall the last couple nights.. first Win2K (again) and trying XP for the first time. Hopefully I can work something out with it. I'll ask Popkid if he would mind me uploading the episodes to his server once I get something to offer.

I hate to post back to back, but wanted to let you know my first encode of a Rescue Rangers episode was a success. I uploaded episode 1x36 to my uploads folder on Popkid:
in mirc:

cd Disneyjedi
get chip'n'dale'srescuerangers_1x36_songofthenight'n'dale.avi
Make sure your DCC settings in mirc are correct according to http://www.popkid.com/disneycentral
I am uploading a second episode right now called chip'n'dale'srescuerangers_1x48_whenmiceweremen.avi
Don't try downloading it for at least 6 hours so it can finish uploading

I got that second episode all uploaded. I recorded the episodes from today also, but have so many other things to encode I don't know if I will get to them. I don't use my VCR to record shows anymore.. I just rip them, recompress (encode) and burn to free-after-rebate CDR discs. Just can't get as good quality if I put everything I want to watch on tape (plus they take up more shelf space than cds). It dies take considerable more time though then simply popping in a tape in the VCR.
I think encoding divx3.11, 2-pass, 320x240 resolution, 12KBps MP3 audio with a total target filesize of 175MB hits the spot just right with cartoons for quality. You should be able to fit 4 on a CD also. Please let me know what you think of them, so I know to continue or not. Thanks!
