How do you get and recive reputation point?

To give, click on the scales icon under the avatar of the person whose post you wish to give reputation to, a pop up appears that lets you select whether you approve or dissapprove with a box to input any comments.

To receive, someone has to have done the above for one of your posts.

The more positive a person's rep the more reputation points they can give. Green=approve, Red=dissapprove and grey could be either, but the person giving the rep does not have enough of their own to affect your score.
