Ok, I've got a few concepts I'd like to explore. While brainstorming about this, I'm trying to make Tomorrowland a SciFi city that isn't too lost in the space age. Aliens and rockets are fine here and there, but I'd like to leave some space concepts for a potential expansion of Mission Spacemat EPCOT.
1. RadioActive Whirl (for lack of a better title) - this attraction keeps the existing space of the theaters but removes all space and Stitch references. The story is that a scientist (in the year 200Σ) has discovered a new metal that he believes can become a new power source. Eager to show off his new discovery, he quickly places it Ina display for people to come see. He hasn't quite figured the metal out yet however, and its radioactivity begins to effect the guest. You go into the theater and see the screens on the wall that actively read random data and specs on the metal. In the center of the room, the chamber sits with shield-like plating around it until the show begins. The intense "radiation" will cause sparks and lighting effects throughout the theater.
The theater still has the "in the round" seating, however, now the rows/rings of seats sit on individual turn tables that rotate the audience members in total random order. Ring one (closest to the center chamber in the room) may start to turn in a counter clockwise motion while the ring farthest to the back may spin clockwise and at a different speed. I would also like the individual seats to pitch forward and backward during the show, however, that's just a personal preference that may not add effectively to the experience.
The preshow keeps our beloved droid friend from both Alien encounters, however this time, he serves as the scientist's assistant and talks about how he doesn't think the metal for an energy source is a good idea.
