Repeat topics

IMO, something needs to be done about the constant repeat topics about things such as Mission: Space, Beastly Kingdom, and everything else that appears in a new thread every 3 days. It really starts to get cluttered, and tiresome answering when Mission: Space will open for the 100th time.

I have an idea! Well, its not really my idea, its Coaster Forum's. Start designated "Important Status" topics for the most popular thread topics. Important Status means it always stays at the top of the list. For example, the thread would look like this in News & Rumors: Important: All MISSION: SPACE discussion HERE! This way, it prevents all those repeat topics. It worked really well for Coaster Forum

There are 2 things i suggest::

1.) Stop replying to the repeat topics

2.) IF you do reply..post the link to the OLDER thread...

i think steve needs to put the possible opening dates on the Mission Space section on MAIN....
That would keep it uncluttered.... But have you noticed that the people that start the new already discussed threads are new members?? Ive noticed that........

Well, thats inevitable with newbies.. but I think there should be a message somewhere telling them to search before starting a new topic.

I know it can get a little tedious, but don't you think putting a message somewhere could be seen as unwelcoming and scaring off new members. We where all new here once:animwink:

Exactly, we were all new once and the newer members need to get information and participate as well. If you have already responded to, or have read a thread that you already know about, just ignore it

I'm not suggesting any messages, just one specific thread for all discussion on the most popular topics, like Mission: Space. It really helps prevent repeat topics.
