Renting Golf Carts...from Someone Other Than Disney

I searched for this and can't find a solid answer. When staying at FW (either camping or in the cabins), is it possible to rent a golf cart from a company outside of the World? I have gotten answers ranging from "absolutely" to "no" to "yes but they won't/aren't allowed to deliver to FW".

Does someone know what the actual truth is? We rented from Disney last year for about 5 days @ $59/day...a few more vacations like that and perhaps they would let me BUY one of their carts and store it on site! Seriously though...is it possible or not? If it is possible to rent off site is it such a big hassle that it is not worth the effort?

I hope someone can clarify this.

Disney allows third party ecv's. I think they meet customers in the parking lot. I'm not sure why golf carts would be much different. Does Disney have any requirements for guests that bring their own golf carts? Is a third that much cheaper?
