Renting DVC Points - AKL Value?

Hi there, anyone familiar with rooms types for DVC rentals?

We are seeing on Davids, AKL 2bd (VALUE)

What does the VALUE type stand for on their 2bd rooms? Is this a villa like Saratoga Springs (a resort i've been to before)

Any photo's, links, flooplans?

Value is the lockout 2 bedrooms that are at Jambo house with a standard (not Savannah) view. It consist of a studio and a 1 bedroom combined to make a 2 bedroom. They are not a dedicated 2 bedroom like at Kidani. They are also smaller than at Kidani. Jambo has no dedicated 2 bedroom units. Also they only have 2 full bathrooms at Jambo 2 bedrooms when at Kidani the 2 bedrooms have 3 full bathrooms with dedicated large master baths (huge walk in shower and seperate large jacuzzi tub) And Kidani 1 bedrooms have 2 full bathrooms with the large dedicated master bath like 2 bedrooms also.

So even @ the value, being Jambo House, the rooms are completely separate, with their own bathrooms.

In our case, there will be only two couples, so this works out just fine.

I personally rather a 2 bedroom at SSR than the Value layout at Jambo. I have stayed at SSR before also.

Yes correct. I personally am spoiled to that extra bathroom at Kidani as you can never have too many and love the Master bath layout at Kidani. But it's all what you can afford and what is important to you.

Made a mistake the sq ft of the value 2 bed villa at Jambo is only 945 sq ft. Not 1075. The standards are 1075 at Jambo and Kidani they are 1173.

We did this layout this past October with a different set of family members, very nice. We like SSR too.

We like to try different resorts, and thought the AKL rental points value fits our needs for this coming trip.

We (me and DH) own at AKV now as of 2013 and absolutely love the resorts! We stay at Kidani most often but also love SSR, VGF, The Boardwalk (garden cottages love them) , etc. Whatever you chose I hope you all have a wonderful time!

Yes that is fun even if you don't buy now. . We had spent money to stay at DVC resorts in 1 bedroom Villas every trip for almost 5 years before finally realizing it made sense for us. I spent just about as much those 5 years as it cost us to buy in direct even! Lol. Me and DH knew we wanted to go every year or at least every other year for the foreseeable future so it ended up being a no brainer. We have no plans for kiddos but still once looking seriously into DVC knew it made sense for us.
