Remaining Days On Park Hopper Passes

Is there any way to find out whats left on park hopper passes before I get to WDW? I want to see what days I have left before my next trip so I don't over buy my new passes.

If I wait until I get to the resort and buy additional days there will they be at the online price or higher?

And finally when do the price of passes usually go up? January?

Thanks Again

I can answer part of this I think. The only way to check what is left on your old ParkHoppers is to go to Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. We did this on our last trip because we weren't sure about a couple of our old passes. We didn't have to buy anymore passes so I really don't know how the prices are, but I've heard that they are slightly cheaper at the hotels than at the gate. I could be wrong about this though.

You can check them at Guest Relations at DtD too. Basically, you have to be AT WDW in order to check. Ticket increases usually happen around New Years. If you don't get tickets and realize that you need them, if you have a rental car, you could always hop over to Maple Leaf tickets. They have a local shop if I'm not mistaken.

The guest service desk in the resorts, now called concierge, can also check your old passes and tell you how many days are remaining. AKL did that for me.

The first time you use an old pass, even in a water park, you'll have your finger scan and the ticket becomes non-transferable.

We have old park hoppers from '92, the small wallet size cardboard cards with the magnetic strip on them. They each have one day left with no expiration and we might be giving one to a friend who would join us for one day in the park. As they're the old type, prior to finger scans of any kind, we should just be able to hand this to him and he should be able to use it by going up to the ticket booth at one of the parks, right? Funds are tight for him, but he does live in the area and it would be nice if he could join us.

I know they are 'non-transferable', but as the ticket tech is the old system, we should be able to do this, right?

Technically yes, even though 'officially' you're not supposed to. He should be able to just take it to the park gate and run it through and enter the park (no stopping at the ticket booth)... assuming it has a magnetic strip. I wasn't aware of the '92 tickets having mag strips on them though. I know we bought some in Dec. '92 and they were still the 'ink stamp' style tickets. If this is the case, he would have to stop at the ticket booths and exchange it for one with the mag strip.
