Hi everyone! We will be at Disney World next month and I was wondering if a regular ticket is worth it on a day when Magic Kingdom closes at 6 PM for a nighttime event? Are the parks very crowded on those days? The tickets are so expensive and I don’t want to “waste” a ticket by losing 3 hours of park time when they close at 6 instead of 9. Thank you for your input!

Party days can be the best days to visit MK, unless you really want to see the fireworks show. Those days tend to have lower daytime crowds, at least up until 4pm when party guests are allowed into the park.

We did that in October......6pm Halloween close.

We rode like 20+ rides that day.
Space mountain was ridden 8-10 times.....

Lots of walk ons.

Depends though.....check the app before on the 6pm close days and see what waits are like.

Might be worth it....might not.

As mentioned above... it can work to your benefit ... or not. Usually the crowds are going elsewhere where they can get a full day in. But sometimes guests thinking as you are, that they can get in on lower morning crowds, they go to MK and its busier than you'd think. Those with PH passes will do MK first with the intention of hopping over as the crowds build and the event begins. The odds are in your favor to do MK early and get lots done. Have something good planned to do once you leave the park to make the entire day fun. If you dont have PH's then go to DS, mini golf, resort hop, or whatever interests you.
