Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa to Co-Host Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (PRNewswire) -- Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa return for a second consecutive year as co-hosts of the 19th annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade set to air on ABC-TV Christmas Day from 11:00AM to 1:00PM (EST). Presiding over all the fun and festivities of the two-hour Disney holiday extravaganza, Regis & Kelly will provide color commentary for the traditional Walt Disney World Christmas Parade down Main Street USA and serve up the introductions for the telecast's special guests, which include: comedian Wayne Brady; star of “8 Simple Rules” John Ritter; co-host of “The View” and new host of the syndicated “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” Meredith Vieira; star of “Lizzie McGuire” Hillary Duff; stars of “Less Than Perfect” Andrea Parker and Eric Roberts; and from the Disney Channel, the children's entertainment group, The Wiggles. In addition, the Parade will showcase all the fun and fantasy of the Walt Disney World theme parks, including Playhouse Disney-Live on Stage!, with Bear, Rolie Polie Olie and Stanley; and unforgettable performances from the cast of Beauty & the Beast and the Festival of the Lion King. At the heart of the telecast -- and a television tradition nearly two decades strong -- is the annual Walt Disney World Christmas Parade, where everyone's favorite Disney characters take center stage as television's happiest parade makes its merry way down Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. A production of Walt Disney World, the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade airs Christmas Day on ABC-TV.

They really need to show the bears...at least for a few seconds. I enjoy the music (er...some of it...) but I'd like them to showcase more of the substance going on in the parks besides the parade...they did this once at DL, I think... :)

I really miss the live parade. It was more fun. And, yes, you can tell the difference.

Also was weird the year that I went (the first year it was taped), to see that the MK parade was at 2 pm, but televised at 10 a.m. that year!

Sigh.
