Refurbishment Question

Hello -

My husband and I are planning our first trip to WDW in four years this September. I want to book my plane tickets soon, but I am a bit nervous that the current WDW refurb schedule doesn't go too far beyond the next few months. Most closures I could deal with, but if say Expedition Everest or Tower or Terror were closed...that would be a serious bummer for me. How far in advance does WDW generally announce a closure of one of the major rides? Do you think I'm safe booking a September trip now?

Thanks!

I won't worry too much, most refurbs on major attractions are held during January/February when crowds are at their lightest. The exception is really long major refurbs like Space Mountain had last year.

There is no way to guarantee you will avoid all refurbs, as some can be announced out of nowhere only weeks before they occur. Example, I just booked early May, only hours later it was announced Muppet Vision was going down for early May.
