Refurb on Cinderella Castle Forecourt in Sept

i dont know if this has been covered in any previous posts.....if it is then i apologize. i hope that this will not interfere with the beauty of the castle for pictures etc.....last year the crane was repainting the back of the castle.....ugly!!!
Anyway 2 more days until the magic begins all over once again.......ill tell Mickey hi for everyone.

Due to refurbishment of the Castle Forecourt Stage, there will be no performances of Cinderella's Surprise Celebration nor will there be Castle Forecourt Meet and Greet opportunities September 2 - 20, 2003:

No seriously, i was there last year for the last night of MNSSHP on 11/1 and they forecourt was being repainted. Its only..... 10 months later. It needs repainting again?! So soon!? I just feel a llittle jipped with all the rehabs happening right when they offer the FTV package. OH well.....

Then again... i probably shouldnt be complaining about rehabs and maintenance.

PURE SPECULATION -----> It wouldnt suprise me if this has something to do with "Wishes"

I can't help wondering if a lot of this rehab work is nmow having to be done because they skimped in the preceeding two years with the fall off in visitors?

Any thoughts?

From what I've heard, the stage is somewhat overdue for a rehab. I believe I've heard they are also fixing up the giant gifts as well during this rehab and training new talent for the show. No word on any changes to the show, but if there are any, they probably won't be huge.

yes i agree with you all the rehabs are a hassle. I was there just yesterday and it looks like they had stripped off the stage's wood flooring and were installing radiant heating piping. Does it really get that cold down there to warrant that?

Bits and peices of the stage were missing. One part I noticed, despite the coverings, was the lift for the queen in CSC, apparently the main concentration for the rehab was that area.
