The reason they converted cash rooms to DVC at WL is because they couldn’t book those rooms.

This is what I too thought and heard anecdotally here, but was shut down that this wasn’t the case elsewhere when we thought briefly they were going to convert more of Wilderness Lodge. I actually don’t know these stats and would like to know.

They did the same with BLT. As it was being built obviously you could see it from the monorail. But Disney still refused to confirm anything. It must be their stock answer.

DVC continued to deny BLT's existence even after the FL Timeshare license was approved.

They are just grouping for an attack since their brethren have been excluded from the prime location in Magic Kingdom next to the castle for the former annual Dream Lights shenanigans .

No but a cast member told me they thought it would be announced after the Poly tower officially opens/start selling.

IMO it is by design over charge = empty rooms = convert to DVC

I asked a WDW Manager about the cranes as I pointed to them, and he said "What cranes?" -- LOL.

If they want to keep DVC running then they “need” to always have at least one resort in active sales.

Ignoring the Cabins at FW, which was clearly a bad mis-step, Reflections follows Riviera and the Poly.

Unlike Disney's movie and streaming businesses, Disney's Parks and Resorts and DVC business VERY MUCH CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY! So if they are moving forward with projects, their finance committee has determined IT WILL MAKE MONEY.

Anecdotally we've heard that DVC occupancy is typically quite high at most resorts.

Disney loves to build DVC’s and if non DVC owners want to drop in they are welcome to pay the insane nightly rates. It’s a win win for Disney.

Exactly, yes. Most DVC decisions, including the FW cabins, make sense when viewing through this lens.

This summer it was not. Like it was alarmingly bad at the lower demand resorts. SS, OKW, Kidani, and surprisingly BLT.

Poor training IMO, cranes fly south for winter and nest in the WDW bird sanctuary, the CM should know that

Exactly this! If we're lucky we might get a Bambi topiary out of this. It'll only last a year or two before it gets removed but at least it'll be there at opening.

The brother Bear a splash deck should be really fun. It'll look just like the splash deck at wilderness Lodge the Grand Floridian except for it'll have brother Bear decorations on it.
