Reducing file size

Hi,

I have just uploaded my holiday pics on my website, but they are of quite a large file size, and I don't think that dial up users will be able to view them.


Can anyone on dial up tell me how long they take to load?

If it takes a long time, does anyone know how I can reduce the filesize, without majorly compromising picture quality?

Try changing the .bmp to .jpg I didn't go to see the file extensions but .bmp is larger than .jpg and when you save the picture (if you save with ADOBE) it asks what kind of clarity you want, if you say 1 progressive scan then it should be a smaller file.

as said above..bmp is a BAD BAD format.

Convert em to jpg..80% quality should be fine
