This game is killing me. First 6-2, then 8-6, then 8-8 but the eight inning the first base umpire screw up with manny rameriz checking his swing. Saying that he swang instead of holding back. Right on top 9th, runners on first and second with 1 out.

I didn't watch today's game, but last night was great......

I was feeling a Sox sweep, but I guess we can take 2 out of 3.

Ive never really been a big fan of baseball, its ok but I just think its slow. But if they strike I seriously dont think Major League baseball will bounce back, They still havent had the same amount of people before the strike in '94.

Every Well-Known sports reporter, Bob Ryan, Dan Shaugnnesy, etc, etc. They've all said if baseball strikes all the Boston fans will come back, because sports is our life, but they say Baseball is gonna have A HUGE problem in say the Kansas City's, and the Tampa's and Miami. I disagree with this, because I'm giving up Major League Baseball if they Strike!!!! So if they're stupid enough to do it, they are losing ME!!!!! I am a HUGE fan, and it will be like cutting off my right arm, but I have to do it, these stupid idiot ballplayers have no idea what can happen when the fans say enough is enough, you lost us, good-bye.

And don't let me exclude the Owners, screw them too, and the players agents and the MLBPA!!!!

In my eyes, I can seriously see MLB not existing in 2 years, this is my opinion, I think enough hardcore fans will say the BULL is over, you guys did it to us in 94(Matt Williams could have broken Maris' 61, Expos had a GREAT TEAM, etc, etc.) We are not standing for you AHOLES to strike again and have no WORLD SERIES............I'm done with MLB if they do this to ME!

Baseball is the greatest American Sport, it's America's past times, and for the players to even think of using the "strike" card to get their way is BULL!!!!

Yeah, Bud Selig is not all there, but come on, the fans should be the number 1 priority, WE PAY YOU!!!!!!

Ok I'm done, NEXT!

Statement by George M. Steinbrenner, III
Principal Owner, New York Yankees

"I am sorry that Larry Dolan, current owner of the Cleveland Indians, felt the necessity to speak out the way he did in criticism of me and the Yankees and, while I recognize the pressures that he and the Dolan Family Trusts are facing, I do not believe Mr. Dolan appreciates what it has taken to build the New York Yankees, to develop its brand and provide a winning team for New York and Yankee fans everywhere. In as much as Mr. Dolan is only in his third season in Baseball, he may not know that when I acquired the team in the early 1970's, we actually had to pay WMCA just to carry Yankee games on the radio and that attendance was at an all-time low averaging less than 1,200,000 fans per year from 1972-1975.

"Since the day that Babe Ruth was acquired, the Yankees have been the envy of many in the game and subject to the jealousies that success brings. In reality, it is the Yankees' success and commitment to providing a consistent winner that is at the center of the criticism. No one complained when the Yankees did not have success on the field. Our revenues have not been developed and increased accidentally. They are directly attributable to hard work and continuing investment in the team.

"I have run the Yankees the best way I know how and will continue to do so. In the wake of the most recent lawsuit, which has created even more turmoil for Commissioner Selig and his Officers, I think it best for me to not comment any further at this time."

Well Said George!
