isn't it something to do with the whole hollywood story of the ride?
What are you talking about? There is no Hollywood story to the HM. Even if there was I'm not sure what a red rose has to do with Hollywood.

I heard that it was just to make the HM more spooky, like someone lives there or the ghost bride puts it there to tend for the graves.

A new one is put there everyday.

No clue why the rose is there, but I am curious why the herse was gone when we went a couple weeks ago. I wanted to ask a CM, but the wife wanted to move on.

I had heard the loose story, was Master Gracey stole the corpse and buried the bride on his property. That's why the grave looks freshly dug and one blood, red rose.

For perhaps the best info on any mansion ride, at any of the parks....I would go to......Doombuggies.com

It's a fresh grave because he is supposed to have just died. I know who puts the rose out there, and yes it is done every day (or close to every day).

The hearse is gone temporarily for refurbishment.

Basically, it's there as a nice little detail. The rose is placed there in honor of Master Gracey, who was recently laid to rest ("No mourning, please, at his Request..."). I believe the ground in front of his gravestone is also turned over regularly to make it look like it is freshly dug.

I've always notice the rose but i never noticed that it was a freshly dug grave. I guess it is true......you do learn something new everyday.
