Recreate the 2005 Disney World Planning Video?

I remember that was one of the first planning DVDs I ever watched and to this day, it's still one of my favorites. I listen/watch every time I leave for Disney, whether it be on the flight to it or even the bus ride to the resort. Now, the question I have for everyone is, if I was to go to Disney and recreate that video, who would be up for it and what would you cover for your specialty? I, myself, would go for thrill rides. Sorry to take that one right off the bat hahaha.

I have an old 2003-ish planning video cassette that I loved and was pretty funny, and a lot better than than my 2012 version.

I know a guy named Dave who is exactly like the Dave in the video.

"You up for this?"

"You go ahead, I'm going to sit on this bench with my beer."

When this video came out...:D

I'd be happy to cover a discussion of Epcot, although it would be much shorter now than it was in 2005...

I really do love those old videos. They were beautiful, nicely paced and both informative and evocative. They weren't afraid to be schmaltzy or cheesy, but I happen to like cheese.

Nowadays, we get a DVD that contains virtually no factual information or meaningful overviews of the parks, and instead spends much of its precious time advertising for experiences that cost extra (e.g., Bibbity Bobbity Boutique). It's no longer appears to be useful as a planning aid that tries to draw guests to WDW: rather, it's a tool to get guests to spend more money on add-on experiences, upgraded hotels, upgraded tickets and souvenirs. To heck with the attractions: clips of attractions are delivered in a frenetic, disorganized, lighting-fast pace with no context provided. Then there's the trite, dumbed-down narration, delivered by women who either adopt a faux-happy-hysterical tone, or an utterly condescending one. But I don't judge... ;)

That's the former resort TV loop...I don't ever recall it being on DVD..

You are absolutely correct, lol. My favorite DVD is the one from 2008-2009 (I think) but only the part when you first put in the DVD and it was a certain track used that I loved. But its hard too explain and I no longer have my DVD
