Hello fellow theme park enthusiasts! I think this is only my second post, so I wanted to make it something somewhat significant. I tried to look and see if there had been any posts/threads about this already and couldn't find any (and if there are and I just couldn't find them, I do appoligize). Anyways, to get to the point, I was SHOCKED at the state of the AA's on the Jurassic Park River Adventure! Everything toward the beginning was ok, but the Hadrosaur that knocks you off-course was litteraly missing half of it's skin! Then the Velociraptors (or atleast the ones I saw) both looked mangled and their jaws were twisted. I know that there are rumors circulating that they are going to expand the JP area, but i thought that wasn't happening for a while, and with warm weather coming, I wouldn't think that they would be closing this ride for a refurb, so my question is, why would Universal let things like this look so bad without atleast addressing it with a short winter refurb? Any thoughts?

1st of all welcome to the forums.:)

Now to the matter at hand.was the hadrosaurs skin really hanging off? That's bad.when I was there last may the brachiosaurus at the beginning wasn't work and the raptors looked a but tired but that was about it.

I do think that even if they don't add anything new to JP in the refurb they should overall/replace/update the AA's in the river adventure with newer, more fluid motion ones,I'd love to see the river adventures move like the ones do in dinosaur or even the Everest yeti (when that does work)

I don't know what sort of condition JPRA is currently in, as I haven't ridden it recently, but a large refurb should be in the works as part of the JP makeover.

I'd love to see the AAs upgraded. The ones in Hollywood looked more fluid and realistic when I last visited...and seeing videos of the ones from Singapore, they too look far better.

It just seems like the parks in Orlando sometimes slack off on their animatronics compared to other places.

This ride was scheduled for a 25 day closure but Operations didn't want the ride closed as they were expecting large crowd levels. They approached maintenance and let them know they want to keep this attraction open until the next major down time. Maintenance then says we can do all the annual stuff on third shift but at the cost of some major AA love. Work is still ongoing right now during third shift.

It's always good to hear 3rd shift doing their duties.
