I just got back from an 8 day 7 night stay at the Grand Floridian. It was my family's first stay at this resort. With the 7 for 4 discount it made the stay at this resort worthwhile. It was very nice however I could not see paying full rack rate for the hotel. The weather was generally cooler and wetter than we thought it would be for late January. Overall our family had a wonderful time but there was an unfortunate incident with one of the CM (security guard). On my way out of Studios I accidentially did not follow the path around the bus pickup area on my way to the car. The security guard started yelling at me and was quite "ticked-off". Once I noticed that I was off the intended path I quickly got back on track. My children were quite shocked at how rude this person was. When I walked by the guard along the path, she sarcastically said "have a nice day (2X)". Most of the CMs were pleasant however it seemed that the extra happy magic was missing. I don't know if it was because of the cutbacks or the general poor economy. We have been to WDW 5 times in the past and just found that it was a little less "disney" if that makes any sense. Don't get me wrong we still had a great time but something is definitely missing.:veryconfu

That's the answer you get when it's a Disney CM who is involved. If it had been a Universal employee, however, it would have been something like, "Yeah those Universal people are so rude! That's unacceptable! I would have complained!".
