I just received an alert for a DVC thread that I've never looked at (I don't have DVC), stating that someone quoted me, but I had no contribution in the thread

Thanks. You actually were quoted, but the post was subsequently edited. I believe the poster accidentally inserted one of your posts from another thread during a multi-quote. The edit then removed that quote from you,
