I just want to say how much I appreciate this running forum. I really wish it had been around last year when I first started to run.
It may be a small group of us that contribute but I truly enjoy reading everyones questions, answers, concerns, tips, and words of praise!

I hope to meet some of you face-to-face in October at the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon!

NOW GO RUN! :D

I just want to say thanks to Steve for allowing us to really talk about all running topics in here, not just disney related.

I realize that it all comes around to our performances in disney races, but it's nice to have a group of people that I know already, that I can now talk about running with.

Yes thanks Steve.

I have to say, if I only have a few minutes during the day to goof around (yes, I know, haw can WDW be goofing around) I check running sub-forum.

Later this summer or in early fall, we need to get a meeting spot before the race. Possibly around 8:30 or 9. We have to get a group photo.

Great idea! I'll be there.

Quick question-Is anyone dressing up for this race? I wore a tiara and princess sash for the Princess 1/2 in March and I enjoyed seeing others in costumes; wondering how people will dress for the W&D.

Since this is my first Disney race, Ill probably try for a great time. I wouldnt mind stopping and getting pictures of the characters and/or dress up, but I think Ill stick to my "I take things too serious not to try for a great time" race.

Ill enjoy looking at everyone else though, fo' show.

Ha-I take just the opposite attitude. I can get a great time at any other race, I want to experience everything about being in a Disney race---the characters, the photo ops, the music, the experience of running through the parks, even the wonderful voluntEARS.
My race time means nothing to me. I'll get a medal if I finish in 2 hours or 4 hours but the memories are priceless.
