Re-Imagineering: The Enchanted Tiki Room

Obviously, the attraction in California has been dated for quite some time, and the Florida version is not much better. It's my opinion that it deserves a Re-Imagineering of its own. So, how do you want to do it - how would you Re-Imagineer the Enchanted Tiki Room?

I literally just had an idea for a Tiki Idol Show, with Pierre, Micheal, Fritz, and Jose being hosts, and Iago, Zazu, and Kevin from Up would be judges. There will be several performances by all new characters created for the attraction, and included commentary from the judges. The hosts would introduce each number and perform in the grand finale, a new version of the classic Tiki Room song. The name of this attraction would be:

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room: Featuring TIKI IDOL!

Also, the pre-show for the attraction would be a barker bird (who seems a lot like Ryan Seacrest) introducing the new show, and various tiki idols will interact with him.

GET RID OF IAGO AND ZAZU. Go back to the old way walt wanted it just add in some more tiki gods and maybe like a real big bird for a little bit of show

I still think the best thing to do would be to revert the Tiki Room back to its 1971 self. Take out Iago and Zazu, remask the old audio with new digital technology, and call it a day. :lol: If WDI really wanted to get creative with it, they could change out a few songs or add more advanced AAs, but changing it too much would subtract from the attraction's charm.

As much as I dislike the current version of the ride, I still think that if it was reverted back to the original it would draw even fewer crowds.

I like the Tiki Idol idea, it reminds me of a Cheers parody that Disney was going to use in the Tiki Room. Maybe, the show could be a TV/Movie spoof show, and would change every few years or so, to stay fresh.

It sounds kind of like Under New Management, but it might work.
