Creative, eh? My main problem with Innoventions is the lack of a way of how things are designed, created, and thought up. This new re-tooling of Innoventions will expand the building, get rid of the old pizza place, lower the cielings in the Mouse Works, and overall make it more concise. Here's what will be added:

-Walking tour of the development of an idea to the product.
-Revolving theater show going through all the processes.
-Condensing Innoventions show exhibits to one building.

Add Timekeeper and actual attractions to attract guests. As in . . . GOOD shows and exhibits (ala Image Works).

Rumor calls for the area to be destroyed, but that won't stop our Imagineering.

The problem with Innoventions isn't the lack of content, rather what they do with it and how it is operated. IF it is going to be a showcase of new technology, it HAS to change, otherwise it isn't new technology, now is it? If they really want to do something Innoventions-like, get a couple of good product resellers, and just have a latest toys showcase. I know this sounds kind of dull, but think about it - the really neat stuff that stores WILL be getting (but don't yet have) will be shown. Forget about trying to make a huge display of it, forget about trying to turn it into a sotyr, and forget about trying to dumb it down so a 5 year old gets it. Just show the product and let people play with it.

The trick is to let the companies in to change out the displays at least once a month, and possibly even more. I think if you got enough small companies (no mega corps with mega dollars - got to make it viable for the companies) I think it might be something kind of cool.

I do like your idea about product development - I think that might make a good show for another area. There was something on the Discovery channel a few weeks ago about bringing a design to life - One of the big ID design firms (I can't for the life of me think of their name right now) did a grill for Design Within Reach.

What about putting more Ice Station Cool-style attractions in Innoventions? Griz is right, Timekeeper would also fit. I woudn't mind a new "Adventure Thru Inner Space"-style experience (it could fit, somewhere). Half of Innoventions could be attractions, half could be a technology showcase... but of course, what company is going to spend money on trying to show off products and get the public hyped about technology, especially when attractions like Test Track and Mission: Space are right next door?
