Re-Imagineering EPCOT for its 35th anniversary

These are some ideas I have for Epcot that could be implemented realistically by October 1st, 2017 - the park's 35th anniversary. This is not a "Blue Sky" project. This is me keeping my feet firmly grounded and contributing ideas that could actually come to fruition if TDO decided to "fix" EPCOT. So there will be no time machine, no Horizons 2.0, no World of Motion, etc.

Spaceship Earth - Add new options to the finale, and enable guests to put their postcards from the future directly onto their Magic Bands.

Communicore - Retail and dining locations remain largely unchanged. Attraction spaces become permanent museum dedicated to EPCOT Center history, complete with preserved artifacts from attractions including ride vehicles.

Universe of Enegy - Now narrated by Neil Degrasse Tyson. New films take the attraction in a more serious direction. Animatronics are spruced up. Music taken out of dinosaur scenes in favor of more dramatic sound effects.

Wonders of Life - Building is demolished and what replaces it is a large pavilion dedicated to geology and weather. A mildly thrilling 4D simulator ride takes us to the center of the Earth and into a live volano. Guests will experience a multitude of special effects. The weather ride will be an extended motion vehicle (Dinosar/Indiana Jones) storm chasing experience. Guests will be pelted with rain, experience lightning effects, and come face to face with a tornado.

Mission: Space - New films. Six different ride experiences that cycle through providing an incentive to ride again and again.

Test Track - No changes.

Imagination - New ride experience utilizes entire show building. Dreamfinder and Figment take guests on a whimsical, humorous tour of the Dreamport. Magic Eye Theater becomes home to the new and greatly expanded Image Works. Ride vehicles can be controlled by guests similarly to Buzz in Tomorrowland.

The Land - New film and extra theater for Soarin'. The orange grove scent stays.

The Living Seas - Reverted back to the original presentation complete with hyrdolator descent into Seabase Alpha. Turtle Talk with Crush stays.

Name officially changed back to EPCOT Center on October 1st, 2017.

This could be implemented in phases. The Soarin theater and weather/geology pavilion construction would start alongside Phase 1. Phase 1 would be comprised of the Energy and Seas refurbs. Upon completion of Phase 1, SSE and Space would go off line to get their touch ups. When they are completed, Phase 2 would officially begin. Phase 2 would consist of the new Imagination pavilion attractions. During this time, Soarin' would officially reopen. Phase 2 would be completed on October 1st, 2017 and would include Imagination, the Communicore EPCOT Center museum, and the new weather and geology pavilion.

I would LOVE to see this sort of thing happen, all of these suggestions actually seem pretty doable, if only EPCOT could get some proper love... I have to say though, I think they'd be able to keep the old WoL building, and add new stuff into it rather than completely rebuilding there (I really like that building). Other than that, changing a little stuff to make the whole of FW seem a little more like it did on opening day (mainly trees and water in the central plaza, and opening the CommuniCore buildings up again) would be great, along with actually doing something with Odyssey.

I like the weather idea a lot though I'd really like to see a pavilion about the body. The seas need something more than they have it's a bit boring there. Maybe something like a submarine voyage. I think the best fit for Imagination would be a trackless ride and for the magic theatre a despicable me like show based on Figment and the dreamfinder having a journey into the dreams but then an invasion of nightmares changes our cheerful adventure into a creepy one.
