I was reading the August 1979 issue of Starlog Magazine and in an interview with Ray Bradbury saw a discussion of his involvement with Disney Parks...
"Bradbury is as adamantly opposed to compromise with his beliefs as he is with his fears. As a boy, his dream was to build world's fairs. As an adult, he was offered an opportunity to create a magical flight through fantasy and space for Disneyland's "Tomorrowland." He wanted to do it so badly he could taste it, he says , and he was doubly excited about it because of his longtime friendship with Walt Disney and the confidence Disney aides have placed on him. But Bradbury didn't get the contract due to an odd dispute over the word "fire."….
Was Bradbury disappointed? No, he replies. He stuck to his guns and two years later Walt Disney Enterprises called him again. This time, his concept was acceptable and he created "Spaceship Earth" another of Bradbury's time machines."
I knew of his involvement with Spaceship Earth, but does anyone know what the Disneyland attraction was going to be?
