Rates for Feb.

Does anyone know how to get good rates for a trip in FEB?

I just spoke to the CRO, and they gave me a rate of $495.00 a night at the Contemporary. Thats crazy!

She told me Florida Resident rates for FEB have not been published.

But there has to be a way!

My Dad used to plan trips 2 - 3 years ahead, and get MAJOR DISCOUNTS, but I dont remember how, and neither does he.

I know he used to be a Magic Kingdom Gold Club Member, but he says thats not what did it.

Please help!

It might be really tough. Like you said, FL resident discounts are probably your best bet.

The Winter Dreammaker was good for early Feb., but I think it's too late to book with that.

As you well know, peak season starts in mid-Feb, when the snowbirds descend upon Florida for the Daytona 500 and spring breaks.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get that special deal when you're there. I'm hazy on the details, but it was something like if you booked your next trip before you left WDW, there were substantial discounts.

Good luck with this one!

I would be SHOCKED if you cant a discount of around half of what you have been quoted (unless you are talking concierge, tower, etc). Have you tried book that Winter Fairly Tale Package? Which week of Feb (this does make a difference). Heck, go on Expedia just for reference to see what price they come up with, I would bet you can do much better than $4xx per night
