Random collectables - value?

I've been doing some "spring cleaning" and run across a bunch of things that I don't use or want that i'm sure some other people would love, so i'm thinking about eBay-ing them or something.

First off - am i allowed to post here asking folks how much they're roughly worth as long as i'm not openly advertising my auction should i put it on eBay or something?

And second, are there resources for finding out the value of Disney parks stuff? All i can find are pin guides and old disney toy guides. Any advice?

Honestly, your best source for determining the value of such things is e-bay itself. Search for final prices of previously auctioned items that are the same or similar.

If the items are older that 25 years, an antique appraiser might be the way to go.

It's nothing amazing, just some stuff i'm thinking someone might like.

I've got some random things like various CM-only pins from the hurricanes, several "Happy XX Birthday WDW" buttons from various years, most of that stuff isn't particularly valuable or exciting, but i do have a few more unique items.

I have a few different types of light-up plastic mugs. A big Epcot one that lights up in 3 colors with LED's. Haven't seen it sold in the parks in a few years. Also, a Halloween 2002 100-Years-of-Magic glow-in-the-dark sparkley mug with Jack Skellington on it that lights up wth red LEDs. I figure someone's gotta want that.

Umm. let's see.. more random stuff like graduation cap ears, plain black with a gold/yellow tassle. I know that's worth a little bit because it's not printed with a year, isn't fuzzy-fabric-eared, and as far as I know isn't actually sold anywhere. The ones with the fuzzy ears have gone for like $30, so mine with the classic plastic ears should be worth more, theorhetically.

Random items like the plastic golf bag tags which are like hard plastic and have golfer mickey on them. I dont play golf, so i'm still perplexed as to how i got them.

Really random stuff like that - anything really neat or ye olde Epcot i'm keeping. I wish I knew where my SSE-shaped cup/mug/bottle went. It was like you were drinking out of the top of SSE, i thought it was awesome. Came with a lanyard - anyone else got one of those?

So, yeah, weird kitsch stuff i have no real use for :)

merf- there's a Diseyana collectables show up here (RI) next Saturday. If you want to e-mail me some photos of what you have, I'd be happy to see what they have to say about them.
