Rainforest Cafe - Any Notable Differences?

We've always skipped both RFCs at WDW b/c we have 3 RFCs locally. Based on the website, they also make it appear that the menu is the same at all locations. Now, I know that some of the locations are more unique... i.e. the Galveston one offers a boat ride and I know the DTD one now has the volcano at Lava Lounge (which wouldn't make a difference to us as we're going to be in DTD during the day). Beyond these things...is there anything unique to the WDW locations to make either one worth a visit?

Not much help here. I have been to the Dtd location several times years ago. Just don't go anymore since we have one at the mall of America that I don't even go to because in just not impressed with any of their food.

I don't know. The only time I've ever been to the Rainforest Café is for breakfast. I like the Animal Kingdom location because it's the only table-service breakfast without characters in (well, technically, adjacent to) any of the four Walt Disney World parks.

I love Rainforest Café! But there's nothing special about the DTD location other than it shoots fire during the night. We always try to go, but our nearest one is like 5 hours away in Chicago, but I don't know I'd go if I was a local...it seems a much more touristy restaurant haha

Not much help here. I have been to the Dtd location several times years ago. Just don't go anymore since we have one at the mall of America that I don't even go to because in just not impressed with any of their food.

While we haven't had bad food at our local ones, it's definitely a place we visit more for the atmosphere. We're actually going to one of our local ones this weekend, but since we have a DTD day...I started wondering if it was worth considering. I'm thinking - no.

And that's just it...2 out of 3 of ours are a 25-45 min drive. It does have a touristy feel, but we also usually have fun there. I guess we've always been during the day, but it looks like the Galveston one also has a volcano-. So, looks like we also get that locally...plus the ultra cheesy boat ride (Below). Thinking it's not worth it for us at WDW.
