Good morning. Day 2 snowed in will be out by lunch. Just thinking what do you do when it starts to rain at Disney. We don't leave we just find indoor attractions. Dinosaur or KS (animals seem to love the rain) Star Tours or RR, The entire land pavillion, SM Buzz Pooh HP POTC. The tip of the iceburg no reason for me to leave. Besides there is always SHOPPING!!

keep on swimming of course!
we put on ponchos and keep going. very few attractions close because of rain, and i have too little time in WDW to waste any.
however, we have learned that direct lightning strikes in the park DO close some rides, (and scare the bejeebees out of us)......but we just keep on swimming :)

We just head into stores if we can and try waiting it out :)

Our very first morning at Magic Kingdom on our very first trip, we were poured on as soon as we got off the ferry! And I mean, legit, soaked to the bone, hair a soaking mess.....and of course, we're headed to the Crystal Palace for breakfast!!

Our hair is all crazy in those. NOBODY woul leave the place so we were all crowded under the tiny porch.....lol. Thank gosh we were dry by the time it was time to go!

We've gotten lucky in the World with rain, but have had some. We usually go into stores, go into indoor rides, or grab something to eat if we are hungry. Also, if we are by the Main Street train station, we'll go up and sit and look down Main Street USA. What I'd give to do that now...

I have been caught in torrential rain (and yes, one "hurricane storm" ) in every park in WDW (and the surrounding resorts...see any of my posts about the Epcot resort tour!)

We have discovered that Magic Kingdom is the best rain park. Everyone scatters, and since a heckuva lot of rides are indoors, we love running from place to place with no lines.
The Studios are pretty good on a rain day as well...for the same above reason.

DAK is the absolute worst place to be stuck in the pouring rain. Almost everything is outdoors. And if you do find an outside shelter, you also find the fact that the ground isn't level ANYWHERE in the park and the water will all come flooding down to wherever you are standing! It once took a full hour juts to get out of that park.

I'm more concerned about what to do if it starts snowing at WDW. Place the Earth back on its proper axis?
IMO..That would be great..Think of the wait times...I mean take a look at Tokyo Disneyland...The characters don't seem upset..

But getting back to the topic...I would just keep going...Just like Henry said in the old Country Bear Vacation Hoedown "I guess no Vacation is complete without a little bit of Liquid sunshine".

Doesn't bother me at all, and I HATE RAIN. Although usually in the UK if it rains, it rains for DAYS and it's freezing and grey and miserable and everywhere gets muddy and/or flooded.
In Florida it is warm rain, it rains for what? 10 mins... then it's dry and happy again.

I think this is why DAK is our least favourite park. We went during it's first few weeks of opening and it was rammed, and then last time we went, it was raining from the second we got on the Rapids, the heavens opened and we were soaked, and soaked for the rest of the day. Definitely buying ponchos this year.

Animal Kingdom we head for Dinosaur if its a Florida afternoon shower. They wrap up quick so usually done when you walk off the ride. If the weather isn't going anywhere we head back to the hotel. Everywhere else we just pull out an umbrella and stick to the indoor rides. Which doesn't narrow down our choices really.

Also I'll gladly take your snow over the yet another day of cold, rain, and road flooding that I'm looking at outside. So much for the 4 inches the forecast said to expect.

We had some rain here and there on our recent trip. We put the rain cover on the stroller, so the kids were secure in their little bubble. DH and I pressed on, laughing and trying to make fun out of the situation. With the rain though, we were presented with the opportunity to walk on to Little Mermaid. We decided that was worth the kids getting wet for. Maybe not my proudest mommy moment ever, but it sure beat the average 50-60 min wait it was having most of the time we were there!
