Raglan Road

We are toying with the idea of having a lunch at Ragland Road (in June), but we are unsure as we usually only go to Downtown Disney once per trip and we have a hard time tearing ourselves away from Earl of Sandwich. My question is, do you think it would be necessary to get a reservation for lunch at Ragland Road, or would it be possible to do a walk up. It would be a late lunch around 2pm. I don't know how busy that restaurant usually is. Would the bar be a good option? Hubby kind of wants the bangers and mash but it doesn't look like that is served in the bar/pub area. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Do what I did: reserve through OpenTable.com. I've used this free service for years and still do whenever dining out at home. It was the first place I searched when thinking about reserving at DTD. This way you have the reservation guaranteed...and it's very easy to cancel right online. The only other downtown Disney location that's on the OpenTable network is the upscale Italian place (can't remember the name.)

I booked at Raglan Road for dinner during our trip last week. Really liked it. We sat outside and the weather was great and the trio that performed was wonderful. (Will probably be too warm in June...but not sure if they even have any entertainment during the day anyway.) When you book thru OpenTable.com, there's no 24 hour penalty - or any penalty at all really, unlike WDW reservation system. But I do urge everyone using it to please cancel if they can't make the reservation. (Just don't want to see their generous policy changed because of too many no-shows!) :)

Wow, good call!
I see Paradiso 37 and HoB up there, too.

Raglan Road has its own website, which may answer some of your questions. If not, you can make queries and reservations directly through Raglan Road (you don't need to go through the Disney system, etc.). I called and asked some questions last time we booked and they were very nice -- just ask them if they think you ought to make a reservation.

We've only been there for dinner (not for lunch), but it was terrific and one of the culinary highlights of our trip. (Save room for the Bread 'n Butter pudding for dessert!)

Good idea for the Open Table. I use them a lot, never thought about it for here though.

I didn't believe it until I looked up Raglan Rd. on my app. Sure enough. There it was. It does defeat Disney's 24 hour $10 fee cancellation policy. I still wouldn't advise making reservations you don't intend to keep though.

Actually, there are two other resturants: Crossroads at House of Blues and Paradiso 37.

To answer your last question, full menu is served at every bar. I can't imagine making a reservation for this place, never have, especially at 2:00 in the afternoon.

I can. Some people just require a seat, especially one at a "regular" table -- not at a bar or high-top. My mother is getting older and would need a seat waiting for her. Having a reservation, either a Disney ADR or OpenTable, eliminates the guesswork on that. It's taken care of.

I have always walked in for lunch. True, there is only two of us. Always walked in during dinner but if your heart is set on it and depending what day and time of year it is, maybe make the ressie just in case. Love this place!
