I dont know if there are any Reedy Creek Firefighters or anyone Cast Members that can help me with this. I visit WDW once a month for about 3 to 4 day stays. I am an avid scanner, which i listen to many radio frequencies that deal with public safety or whatnot. Is there anyone out there that can give me the frequencies of the whole WDW trunked system or Reddy Creek Fire Dispatch it would be great! thanks!

Thanks for those and answering my thread. Unfortunately those are dated and I have had them for a while. Disney does not work on traditional frequencies anymore they have a trunked motorola system. Anyone else have more info? Thanks

If they are on a trunking system, I hate to tell you that you are out of luck. The radios that are used are programed directly into the system, with a hexadecimal ID that assigns it specifically to the system. If your scanner or radio isn't programmed into that area, you won't be able to pick it up.

I work in communication at Walter Reed in DC and we just installed the trunking system from Motorola here as well. It's all digital, and the programing is too specific to be scanned. That's why we have it. Sorry to break that news to you, because scanning Disney's systems would rock... but you are, unfortunately, out of luck.

Just as another side note, many areas of WDW have upgraded to the Nextel two-way radio system. AK has completely switched over and as far as I know EC and MGM are partially switched.

I have a Trunking Scanner that scans many trunked systems such as Disneys partial 900 mghz's and 800 mghz's, but for some reason I cannot get Reedy Creek Fire.

Not true. Anyone in Florida can scan any radio frequency. Certain Federal frequencies are left out of scanners for this reason.

So, if you go to disney, bring your Nextel with you and ask them for their 2-way ID and program it in your phone. ;)

I think my boss would have a cow if he saw a whole bunch of Disney CM Nextel ID's programmed in my Nextel. LOL

What about Amateur Radio (a/k/a "Ham" Radio?)

Is there an amateur radio repeater on Disney grounds? I'm a Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator. I was just curious. :)

I am positive. Scanners would not be sold to the public if they were illegal. Go to your local Radio Shack store and see for yourself.

Being able to purchase something at Radio Shack or anywhere else does not make something legal. You can buy a telescope, but it does not make it legal to look into someone's bedroom window.
