Which is the better attraction based on the whole experience? Including all the factors (queue, thrill, story, interactivity, and theme).

Radiator Springs (DCA)

Test Track 2.0 (Epcot)

I think they are very similar so i'd compare them personally. I voted springs BUT if it was against old test track that would have won. not a big fan of tron test track.

Why do you think they are comparable? Because both involve cars? I can't imagine that anyone who has experienced RER would favor TT.

They both use the same slot-car ride system. As does Journey to the Center of the Earth in Tokyo.

I've only ridden TT, but despite how much I love it, RSR does seem to be much superior in terms of story and theming. TT gets points for going faster, though.

RSR is the better ride and it should be. It was built nearly 15 years after the original TT.

RSR is not as fast, but the beautiful rockwork, fantastic dark ride section and the racing another car at the end, put it on top. Easily.

I will say I like the queue for TT more. Partly because of the design-a-car aspect, but mostly because it is air-conditioned instead of out in the sun like RSR's queue. :)

well one is beautifully themed, very immersive and fun.. the other one has neon tubes and a thrill at the end... one seems super Disney.. the other... any theme park

no, i just know everybody compares these two attractions. I 100% pefer RSR. There are so many polls and forums that compare the two. Don’t think i’m favoring test track and insulting RSR. I’m not. Radiator Springs is clearly the much better attraction.

exactly. However, I think the slot car type rides are ranked like....

Journey To The Center Of The Earth
Radiator Springs Racers

Test Track

Basically two world class attractions, and than a ride that is not even the best attraction at it’s respective park. So ya.

Absolutely agree. JTTCOTE literally took my breath away. TT is always worth a visit. The other 2 are worth riding over and over. And over.

While RSR wins, it probably also wins the prize for most down time during a day. I can't remember the last time we did RSR in the normal line and didn't have it break down randomly... sometimes for a short time and sometimes a very long time.

I hated Test Track 1.0 but love version 2. My family and I have way too much fun coming up with the most absurd vehicles and cheer when we somehow beat the other car. Radiator Springs Racer definitely has a much more immersive theme and story but car design has excited me since I was a kid and will always get my vote.

Test track is notorious for probably being the most problematic/expensive/broken down ride in Disney’s history...including rocket rods.

Not only did it open about 2 years late...it’s budget overruns went to a reported obscene $300 million dollars. Which would make it by far the most expensive ride in history. And it’s burned through cars and parts since day one.

Just some perspective

Radiator Springs has a better theme and story, but I do like designing my own car on Trst Track.

I think my daughter would vote TT due to designing her own car. She loves that. (And it irritates me when CM's try to put an entire family at one car design station - that is part of the ride!)
