Quiet resorts?

Helllloooo!

We are planning a September visit. We've only ever been to Port Orleans and All Star resorts. We loved the atmosphere at Port Orleans. It felt like we had it all to ourselves. Are there any other resorts like that? All Star really wasn't all that busy either considering the popularity of them but I was just wondering.

=)

Depends on the time of year. Middle September Beach Club was very quiet from Monday - Thursday but picked up late Thursday evening and Friday. Most schools are back in session in September and seems like parents don't take kids out that early in the school year.

I'm actually surprised. When I was there last August it was very loud compared to the Yacht Club. The Yacht Club is pretty quiet to me. Guess it really depends on when you go :)

I love Riverside because of that atmosphere. We just stayed at Coronado Springs, and the construction did have some noise but not as much as I was expecting going into the trip. It was a pleasant surprise. When we would be out walking, we would hardly see others until we got to the main pool. Of course, it could also be that it was really chilly most of the time we were there :) Even though CSR was quiet, and I enjoyed the resort, I still didn't love it as much as Riverside.

I also agree about Old Key West, Boulder Ridge Villas, and AKL - Kidani being super quiet. VWL in general is more peaceful but we haven't been since they reopened the new portions. SSR is hit or miss with me and quiet. Some areas are better than others. CSR in the past wasn't bad but construction and changes I cannot vouch for it now.

Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, and Kidana Villas are all nice, quiet, laid back kinda places. Lots of offsite choices too.

Thanks! Are any of those standard resorts or are they special in some way? We can't afford anything beyond the "moderate" resorts.

All the ones I listed are Disney Vacation Club resorts and are quite expensive (at least to me) if renting directly from Disney. Some people report success and decent prices renting from companies that buy and resale points but I have no real experience with that.
