We just noticed there are no direct busses from the main theme parks to DTD. We will not be renting a car,and will be using Disney Transportaion. What's the best way to get from AK to DTD and what's an approximate time that it takes using the busses? Thanks!

Quickest would probably be to get on the bus to AK Lodge or Villas. They literally are just outside the main park entrance and is the closest resorts. From there u can get a bus to DTD.

Take a cab! You can get one just outside the park. Much easier then multiple bus rides, especially if you are on a tight schedule.

Take the bus to Saratoga Springs, then get off at the Springs bus stop, go around the pool area, thru the main building, and out to the boat dock. Then just take the boat to DTD, its a nice relaxing ride. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes, and the boats run every ten, so your odds are better of waiting less time for the boat than it would be for waiting for a DTD bus.

You can take a bus to any resort ( the first bus that comes) and then then resort bus or boat (depending on the resort) to DTD. The closest one is probably AKL. The bus is probably the best from the resort since you will be dropped off at the resort bus stop and pick up the bus to DTD at the same bus stop. If you go for a boat, it is usually a walk to the boat ramp. :cat:

If you do that, it'd be best to choose a resort that's in the "corridor" between AK and DD. That'd be resorts like AKL, Pop, AoA, Coronado or the All-Stars. The further you get away from that corridor, the more time you add in your total bus ride time. (i.e. it wouldn't make sense to get on a Grand Floridian bus if that one was first)
