We're taking advantage of our annual passes to run away for three nights at Disney, end of July. Booked CBR as we're trying not to burn cash, and was afraid the pool at Coronado would be unavailable. Now, it looks like the pool is going to be fine - sooo: for 2 kids, 7 and 11, which resort do yall think is better for a short stay?

Personally if it was a short stay I wouldn’t be planning to spend much time at the resort so I would go with the Caribbean. But I was planning to spend any notable time at the resort besides sleeping I would go with Coronado. I was just at the Coronado and didn’t dine the construction intrusive but from what I saw online about the Caribbean (from Disney Tourist Blog) it is quite intrusive.

We're just back from the Caribbean. Our last day was 6/7. We found that the construction wasn't bad, but it does look like the construction at Old Port Royale is accelerating, as it wasn't much of a source of noise while we were there; the Riviera was the construction noise leader by a wide margin, and I'd expect that to be the case no matter what takes place at Old Port Royale. The construction wasn't an issue for us while at the pool, and I'd expect them to turn up the music and or provide additional live music at the pool if construction noise increases. We'd book the CBR again without hesitation.

Since construction at both they’re equal on that count. Therefore, I’d choose CSR for fewer bus depots. Get a room in Casitas or Cabanas. Those are closest to El Cento (lobby) and main bus depot.
