quick trip birthday question

My brother and I are taking my elderly parents to Bradenton to visit with stepdads daughter. My brother and I are planning to sneak away on his birthday to Disney. We have been to Disney several times. Question is can the birthday pass be up graded to a one day hopper? If so for how much? My brother has one day leftover on an old hopper pass. We want to quickly buzz to the parks and do our favorite rides and see what is new. We plan to spend the whole day and with no kids, we hope to be able to fit it all in. LOL
Also I have an old 3 day childs pass with one day left on it. My child is now 23. Can it be turned in for something else?

Yes it can for the normal price of adding the park hopping option to a MYW base ticket. I believe that its $25 dollars. Have a great B-Day trip.

The Birthday Ticket can be upgraded to whatever you want (1-day hopper, 7-day base, Annual Pass, etc), you just pay the difference in price. Though the $25 price to add the Park Hopper that Brent quoted is only for Florida residents. Non-Florida residents pay $50 for that.

As for your Child ticket, Disney will change a partially-used Child ticket into an Adult ticket with the same amount of days left free of charge. "Disney doesn't penalize kids for growing up" is the phrase they like to use. Doesn't matter if it's an 8 year-old who's now 10, or a 6 year-old who's now 30. :)
(And if it had been a totally unused ticket, they would have only credited you for the price you paid for it and applied it toward a new Adult ticket.)
