Quick Trip 1/2-1/5

Ran down for a Quick Trip (DH,DW,DS11,DD14) to take a peek at the new FL additions. Stayed at Port Orleans -Riverside (first time). Property was great but when I pulled in three cast members did nothing to help with my luggage ... Just standing around talking .. I guess I needed to go ask for help.. nah. I can do it on my own .... Food was actually great in the fast food section. We had to eat there every night because of the last minute trip (everything booked) but again we enjoyed the food and selection. First night we just went to DT Disney to shop and mingle. Getting on the bus back to resort we got stuck in the gernade threat there (google it). As our bus took off we were stopped and sorrounded by Fire, Police and the bomb squad ! It was crazy but finally got going! We just had tickets for two days at MK and man we needed it !! The crowds were huge !!! I have never see so many people trying to walk around.... We rode four rides one whole 8 hour day there! Went to "Be our Guest" for lunch one day and it was fine.. We sat in the big dining hall .... they didn't tell us about the other two halls to sit in .. I would have went into the West wing to eat !!! It was dark and spooky to me ! On the way out for the day, they were about to start the lowering of the flag and my children were chosen to say the Pledge of Allegiance w the Dapper Dans. It was great to actually see everyone around stop and respect the Flag and our Troops! Proud moment for us! All in all we had a good two day jaunt but will never go again in this time frame around Christmas/New Years ... way, way too many people to have fun and really enjoy the park(s).... Heading back for the big 9 day trip in October 2014, hopefully at BLT when the Mine Train is done !
