what exactly is the description of these jobs? Is it like waiting tables at a sit down resturant,or is it counter service? Are there tips?

Quick service F&B is non-table service food and beverage locations. This includes but is not limited to counter service restaurants, ice cream, popcorn and drinks carts and candy floss sellers, I believe.

The position is not tipped.

http://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com/sap/its/mimes/zh_wdwcp/students/role_descr/onstage.html describes it as...

Quick-Service Food and Beverage
High volume and Guest contact are key parts of this role. Cast Members in Quick-Service Food and Beverage will work independently or as part of a large team in either indoor or outdoor locations.

Responsibilities may include: taking orders, operating a point-of sale system (cash register), cash handling, filling food and beverage orders, dispensing and selling of alcohol, heavy lifting, pushing and pulling, emptying waste cans, general cleaning with chemicals and food preparation.

While http://www.disney.go.com/DisneyCareers/wdwcareers/international/details.html describes it as...

Quick-Service Food and Beverage Host/Hostess - Discover the high energy possibilities! With more than 250 restaurants, fast-food counters, and outdoor food locations, we serve a lot of guests. You could be responsible for filling orders at a counter-service restaurant or food cart, operating a computerized cash register, cash handling, cleaning tables, and filling the stock. There is counter service and what we call "Outdoor Foods" which is popcorn, ice cream bars, soda, etc.

Tips? Just have fun...I did outdoor foods at EPCOT and when I got QSFB I thought I would just quick becuase it's not what I wanted. But I loved it, yes days I wish I wasn't in ODF but it was still fun. I even transfered to MK ODF afterwards. Its one of the best jobs if you don't like co-workers...

I worked at Casey's Corner, which is the hotdog place down main street. I was kind of disappointed when I got QSFB to, but it turned out to be fun, and I have some awesome co-workers and cps to work with. I think Casey's is one of the best counter service restaurants to work with because it's so small, and you get to know everyone. Even the registers are behind the counter (unlike other places) so you don't have to work all by yourself. Ofcourse, that could be a bad thing too. It was annoying at times, but so is any job. Plus I think now the cps get the 35 cent bonus per hour that the rest of the QSFB cast members do. I just applied for the summer program, and didn't even check quick-service food and beverage because I've been working it ever since the end of high school, but I'm glad I worked at Casey's just because of the people I met, and we had a lot of fun.
