The wife and I are going down to Disneyland the week of Oct 4th and I've been trying to make a world of color dining reservation through the website. No dates beyond the 3rd are listed for any packages so I called disney dining this morning and was told the park hours and showtimes for oct 4 - 17th weren't available but would be released mid august and that I should call back tomorrow. Call back tomorrow? Is that code for "those packages will be available tomorrow."

Showtimes are usually available 30-45 days in advance. Just keep trying, but don't worry too much. Unlike WDW it is pretty easy to get dining reservations even the day of, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a good time for a dining package.
