Ok, this is coming from The Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World 2004... attendance really shoots up from early to late May, looking something like this:

Early/Mid May: ~30,000 ppl/day in MK
End of May: ~50,000 ppl/day in MK
Memorial Day (5/31) through Early June: ~55,000 ppl/day in MK

Just for reference:

Value season (After Thanksgiving and Before Christmas): ~15,000 ppl/day in MK
Christmas Week (Peak Attendance): ~70,000 ppl/day in MK
Easter/Spring Break: ~50,000 to 60,000 ppl/day in MK

Again, that's all coming from the Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World 2004.

The average MK daily attendance is 40,548, so you're looking at about 10,00-15,000 people more than average, which isn't too bad. I was there during a projected 58,000 people day last year, and it wasn't bad at all! In fact, one of the more pleasant crowd experiences- but last year wasn't the best for attendance either. That's a different story this year.

Hope this helps. :)

That's all really interesting! I am surprised that the book mentioned nothing about July or July 4th specifically. When I was at MK two years agon on the 4th, MK had filled to capacity by 10:00 PM...did it mention this?

That book usually gives those attendance numbers for the entire WDW, not just MK. Those numbers seem quite high but then again, this will be my first time going in May.

The book specifically states (and more than once) that these numbers are for the Magic Kingdom only. From everything I've heard and read before, they seem fairly reasonable for accuracy, and they would be VERY low for all of WDW. :veryconfu

The book does talk about the large crowds on July 4th, and that attendance capacity is often met. However, on the chart showing attendance levels throughout the year, there is no increase anywhere in July, so go figure.:veryconfu
