Yeah there are different types of savannahs at AKL one of which is offered as a request for standard rooms. It's pretty cool to have as an option for request. As for boardwalk it's prob a pool view with obstruction view more likely as where a actual pool view would have full view and sometimes location.
Having worked at a resort before, having as much info before hand is so much nicer for all involved. Even if u forget something, call ahead and have it added. As much info as you can give them prior will make it easier during the room selection process instead of showing up at check in time with 10 request in which most have already been assigned to guest who did online. I know ppl will argue it, say differently and have gotten lucky with day of request. Just being honest from having been on the other side. Online is the best way to get your request fulfilled, doesn't hurt to be polite with a smile either during check in
