Leaving in 10 days!! :sohappy: This might be a stupid question but I've noticed on the discussion forums that you need tickets for the Christmas Parade taping. Can You still get into MK even if you don't want to go to the pararde?? Just wondering. Thanks:xmas:

Yes but just expect things to be chaotic that day. Don't even plan to go near the castle or main street until mid afternoon.

Yes you can go to MK the day of the parade taping but expect to walk behind Main Street to get in and out of MK during the taping. You won't have access to Main Street or the Castle Hub for the majority of the day while they are taping, which will go on until approximately 4 or 5pm. You will have full access to the rest of the park though but you will have to go around the back way (i.e through Fantasyland/Liberty Square) if you want to go from Tomorrowland to Adventureland/Frontierland.

In the past couple of years, tickets/vouchers were required.

BUT.....this is what has happened in the past:

While they encourage you to go through the backstage area of Main Street, if you want to, you can go to the merchandise shops, then go onto Main Street and go "inside the ropes" if there is room..no voucher needed. In fact, if there are spaces, they want those filled in with guests, and the cast members will allow you and actually invite you to step inside the ropes if there is room.

Usually there is room a couple hours after they begin taping because people with kids have gotten tired of standing in one spot, etc. We have done this the past 2 years and have seen ourselves Christmas morning on the parade show. Don't know if there will be different rules this year, but this is what has happened to us the past two years, and we were invited in by cast members.
