Queue Time Updates

Hello all,

So we are heading to the World in July and I was wondering are there any plans for WDW to introduce the same bluetooth information system DLP currently uses?
This system was free and sent you live updates of queue lengths and show times- incredible time saver!
I know WDW still has the PAL Mickey technology installed perhaps they could modify this?
I know they are apps available for iphone etc but I really don't want to buy an iphone exclusively for queue information in WDW... surely there has to be a more convenient (and cheaper) way?

Thanks.

They currently have a deal with Verizon that supplies that information to a Verizon smartphone app; the cost is $9.99 for a 6-month subscription, I think.

For those without Verizon, there is a mobile site, but the times are given as approximations.

I don't see them giving the info for free until after the deal with Verizon expires.

You can check out the mobile site now, to see the kind of info it gives:
http://m.disneyworld.com

It only lists waiting times as "High Demand", "Moderate" and "See Now", whereas the Verizon application would give you the actual posted wait time. Plus it gives you the current timeframe that Fastpass machines are issuing for each ride, where the website just says that they're Available, Limited Availability or Unavailable.
