Questions about the College Program Application Process

I'm about to start on my application, and was just wondering about a few things. I've gotten to the roles check list, and even though I think this is probably a stupid question, it is best to check everything we are willing to do and not just what we would really prefer to do, right? The 3 things on the list I am most interested in are Attractions, Character Handler, and Costuming, but there are many other things, that while they wouldn't be near the top of my list, I wouldn't mind doing.

I was also curious on the actual on-line interview, can anybody give me an idea of what I can really expect from it?

My last question on the application is, assuming that I am able to pass the on-line interview and then the phone interview, does the entire process generally take only 3 or 4 weeks or so, or will I be waiting until December to hear a definitive answer on my status?

And for one off topic question, if I am able to be selected, I was curious about getting an Annual Pass for Universal Studios but I saw that it was only for Florida Residents, is there any way for a non-resident to get a pass if they are going to be down there for an extended period of time?

Yes, it's usually better to check off anything you're willing to do. But be sure it's something you actually are willing to do, just in case.

The online interview is a behavioral survey; if you've ever applied for a job online it will look very familiar. If not, it asks questions like 'I prefer to work alone' or 'I would never lie to get a job.'

The application/selection process can take anywhere from a week after your interview to a couple of months. Most people here back in the 3-4 weeks (I think Disney says to check back with them if you haven't heard anything within 6 weeks). Usually if the process takes longer, they will notify you that your application is pending.

Also, Universal has non-FL resident passes.

Thanks for the info, I'm assuming that working at Disney, you should probably like to work with others, I can go either way and don't really have a preference. Also, do they ask many or any things in the negative like that? I've heard it's a timed test, so just didn't want to stumble over something asked in the negative if I'm not expecting it. I know that would I ever lie to get a job, would be a no, while I would never lie to get a job would be yes/correct.

Also, thanks for the non resident APs, I did a quick glance at their site and only found links to resident APs.

Also, in my first post I listed what I think is my top 3, could anyone give me their positive and negative experiences with those positions as well as any other positions that you've worked?

I just got back from my CP a couple weeks ago as an Attractions host at Soarin'. Attractions is awesome simply put. I loved it, but I will say you can get stuck at some not-so-fun places too. That being said, overall the whole CP is what you make of it. Everyone I know who was a character attendant really enjoyed that role too. As for costuming, it's pretty much just a behind the scenes role, no guest interaction, and I didnt know anyone who did it.
