Questions about golf at Disney

I have some questions about playing golf at Disney. Do we need to bring our own clubs or can we borrow some there (the latter would be soooo much easier)? If you can borrow clubs to they have mens, ladies and children's clubs? Lastly, which course is most recommended? Thanks

You can definitely rent clubs, at least in the late 90s I know you could. They had mens and ladies, possibly children's... i'm not sure. Call the golf course to find out would be my suggestion. I would recommend Eagle Pines, but they're all nice.

I believe that you can rent clubs at all ages to play. I would recommend the Palm but every one of them is awesome.

Yes, you may RENT, not borrow clubs. I don't think you have to arrange it ahead of time, just mention it when you check in at the pro-shop. However, it would be best to ask when you make your tee time whether you have to reserve clubs ahead of time.

where

you can rent clubs. Reserve them when you make your tee time. Take some golf balls though cause they're about $3 each in pro shop.

Course really depends on your skill level in my opinion.

We are all pretty much beginners. My son is only 4, but he will have been playing for about 2 years when we go. I will only have been playing for a little over a year. I also should have clarified myself. We plan to do the Platinum plan and I thought I read somewhere that golf was included (also the use of clubs and shoes). I can't figure out where I read that at now. I guess that's why I said "borrow" instead of rent. Thanks :)

I think you're right golf and clubs are included. Not sure about shoes though. You might want to do Oak Trail. a nine hole executive type couse, near magnolia. It's open and flat, better for the youngster too. If this works out try Lake Buena Vista as it is shorter and a little more forgiving of errant shots.

Check with pro shop on the shoe issue and take your own golf balls.

Hi,.......The 3 main club house complexes one for Magnolia and Palm also Oak Trail, the Bonnett Creek club for Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines and the Lake Beana Vista all rent out clubs (Titleist and Cobra) and they charge $55 a set.
Also at all the clubs you can hire shoes which are Footjoys at $10 a pair/round.
As has been said before buy you golf balls off sight as they are not supplied.
Also the many outlet stores around the area it might be better to treat your self to a new $30 pair of Reebok or Nike golf shoes. It might be better than the steaming alladin slipper you might hire...........:hurl:
As far as which one to play (my personal opinion)
Palm and Magnolia are long Championship standard courses and will test the greatest of golfers including the PGA tour players who visit once a year. They have big greens and big carry's and favour the players who are longer off the tee.
Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines are the most beauitfully set courses around and each hole is a delight to the eye, but again they are quite a challenge but the different tees will help the emerging player get round.
Lake Beana Vista is a typical resort course surrounded by villas and atrractions, it is not as long as the others but it is a great test.
My choice for testing my game is the Palm course, and for pure delight and enjoyment it is the Osprey Ridge course.
I hope you have a great trip............and good golf

Lake Buena Vista is my favorite, mostly because it plays through things that remind you you're in WDW. Old Key West, DTD, Saratoga Springs, the Old Treehouse villas, etc. Good scenery. ;)
